In the August of 2022, we moved an old 1800’s barn 12 miles to our family farm.

The talented team of Ohio Valley Barn Salvage deconstructed the old historical bank barn piece by piece. Tagging each white oak beam and mapping out where the hand hewn beams laid for centuries, the barn slowly came down. In November of the same year, their team began to resurrect the barn for new life alongside our lavender fields.

One third of the barn has been transformed into a luxurious European-inspired Guest House for guests to escape and renew their minds. The other two thirds of the barn holds home French retail, production, and events for the lavender fields.

This day, the barn continues to inspire us and 2025 marked a significant year for this old structure. Once filled with bales of hay and the aspirations of hardworking farmers, it now stands, ready to embrace a new chapter of existence.

The Process:

The Barn Resurrection

Board by board, beam by beam and nail by nail, our 1800's barn was torn apart to the ground. Because without dreams, where is progression? Slowly, the old oak beams were cleaned, tagged and moved to our family farm.
